There is only one biblical requirement to becoming a member of Christ's church. A person must receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This means putting one's faith in Jesus as God's one and only son, repenting of past and present wrongs, confessing Christ, being baptized by immersion into Jesus Christ, and surrendering to Him. An opportunity is given at the close of each weekend worship service to step forward and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior and become a member of Christ's church at Southeast. In addition to the weekend worship option, someone is available to speak with you in person about becoming a member at any time.

Although there is only one requirement to becoming a member of Southeast Christian Church, there is more to becoming a participating member. Church membership has always been about commitment. Church membership involves three basic commitments.

• a committment to Jesus Christ
• a committment to other Christians
• a committment to Christian living

When you decide to become a participating member of Southeast you are doing more than adding your name to the church data base, you are committing to discipleship lived out in community.
